Product Improvements at BCI !
Here at BCI, we have added a designated "Heel Shifter Extended" 1.5 in in all 3 BCI styles. Machined with the pinch bolt on top, for a easier install. No more fighting that bitch from the bottom up. Now both shifters will have the pinch bolt sunny side up.
About BCI Shifters:
All BCI Shifters are extended 1 in to 1.5 in lengths, added more boot room.
Extended Shifters have several benefits:
- Between heel and toe pegs. That means no more snagging your boot heel on the rear peg.
- Finding neutral easier
- Shifting through the gears instead of stomping through them! Ah, isn't leverage a beautiful thing?
- BCI Shifters look absolutely SIKK!
If that's not enough, here's more! To further enhance performance, the BCI New Extended Heel Shifter has relocated the heel peg off the top (slightly behind the floor board). But you still have to lift your leg to access the heel peg. Why - you ask? Because the lever itself will hit the floor board if it's adjusted too low! O.K.? Stay with me now. BCI has resolved this problem by moving the floorboards out 3/4 of an inch, and yes, on both sides. The heel peg and shifter can now be adjusted almost level with the top of the floor board. Benefits: The heel peg and shifter both have clearance past the floor board. Talk about boot room! Your boots will be totally unincumbered by that dreaded heel peg. No more lifting the leg to hunt down the heel peg. One simply needs to rock the boot heel off the back of the floor board when upshifting.
Our BCI 1" and 1.5" extended shifters can still be used in the heel and toe position just like before. We have simply added to our product line a 1.5" extended shifter designated for heel use only.
